What's so different about Sunflower Preschool?

Memorizing their Name
Is your child struggling with learning their name?
Here are some tips...
1. Familiarize them with the shape of their name
Create pre-printed sheets with the child's name to reinforce basic
writing skills. Tell them the pen is a train and it's track is the black
lines they see. Have them focus on keeping the train on the track.
Subtle reminders to start on the left are important.
2. Memorizing the letters and their order
Make a song, of course! Yes, each and every student in my class
has a special song that I made up for them. When they want to
spell their name we burst out in song. The beat of the song helps
them to stay on track. Typically we start the 4 year old year out
with this, but some of our students want to memorize their name
as early as age 3.
